Coming this April: Transitions to Transformation
NYSE Transition Workshop
Purpose: to reach the NYC Downtown marketplace worker, specifically, with practical skills and spiritual tools to successfully manage and emerge from Transition.
- Console: recognize that the environment that they are working in is stressful and hazardous to their health and wealth.
- Confirm: the diagnosis, the pressure cooker context is more than stressful but not fatal. There are other options.
- Contain the Condition: identify new career potential and the tools necessary.
- Connect to new solutions: which will be assessments, associations with those that have experienced transition successfully, and begin to craft a plan of actions.
- Career reconfiguration by applying principles of Christian faith: will provide practical transitional skills for handling emotional, relational, and spiritual hurdles of Transition.
In order to make the most accurate assessment of personal skill sets, BOLD will provide a two-page work life plan.
The work life plan is a two-page document that categorizes individual marketable skills, knowledge and networks on the first page; the second page covers the affected relationships impacted by the transitional process.
Marketplace Outreach “7 Breakfasts”
This collaborative between a member of the NYSE, BOLD Ministry and Trinity Church will provide an opportunity to workers from the floor of the Exchange to a series of informal breakfasts featuring several successful leaders who have weathered major Transitions and managed to land right side up.
This is an outreach to the financial marketplace and community slated for mid-spring, 2008 that has the potential to:
• Bring many new seekers to your church while introducing them to the resources that Trinity has to offer
• Working with BOLD, will provide some new tools to create relationships, and safe places for men and women to follow up in small group settings
• Provide a new a cohesive short-term strategy for integrating faith into transitional seasons for not only the NYSE but the entire downtown financial community.
• Provide people coaches necessary to demonstrate how to integrate spiritual growth and career development.
